At the end of April, the international jazz industry gathers at Jazzahead in Germany, and there will be a Norwegian presence both in the festival programme and in the trade fair hall. Aksel Rønning Trio and PHØNIX are the Norwegian bands featured in the festival’s official programme.
Jazzahead in Bremen, Germany is the world’s largest jazz industry event and annually brings together more than 3,000 industry professionals. This year, Jazzahead takes place from 22–25 April.
The Norwegian delegation will be highly visible at this year’s Jazzahead. On Friday, two Norwegian bands will perform as part of the festival programme. Aksel Rønning Trio will play at Kulturzentrum Schlachthof at 16:15, while PHØNIX will perform at Kulturzentrum Lagerhaus at 22:15.

Earlier in the day, the Nordic jazz organisations will host Nordic at Noon in the Nordic stand area—an informal meeting place where delegates and industry professionals can mingle in the middle of the trade fair day.
During the trade fair, Norsk jazzforum and Music Norway will be present at stand 6E52. Here, we represent Norwegian jazz and work to establish connections with the international music industry network.
