In 1981 the Norwegian Jazz Federation established it’s own record company Odin Records. At that time there weren’t many independent labels in Norway – only major international record companies located in Oslo, so Odin soon became the most important national label for contemporary Norwegian jazz.
The catalogue encompasses all styles of jazz and improvised music – from ragtime to punk – reflecting the variety of forms existing today. The bestseller is the internationally acclaimed record by Radka Toneff.
The catalogue is now licensed to Grappa.
