At the end of April, the international jazz industry gathers at Jazzahead in Germany, and there will be a Norwegian presence both in the festival programme and in the trade fair hall. Aksel Rønning Trio and PHØNIX are the Norwegian bands featured in the festival’s official programme.
Maridalen, Harald Lassen, Hans Mathisen, Per Mathisen, Bendik Hofseth and Brothers of Melody are playing at Jazzahead 2025.
Sondre Moshagen Lightning Trio won the Jazzintro final at Molde International Jazz Festival in July. "Compositions of high caliber with a lot of rhythmic authority, and with melodic and harmonic ideas that give the trio a distinctive identity," states the jury.
Liv Andrea Hauge Trio, Hilde Louise Asbjørnsen Quartet, Oddgeir Berg trio and Trondheim Jazz Orchestra with Marianna Sangita Røe are the Norwegian artists in Jazzahead's official showcase program this year. Norsk Jazzforum and Music Norway will as usual be present at the trade fair area.
